Kathleen Solomon, 71, of Ocean View, formerly of Sacramento, Calif., and Milwaukee, died Dec. 4, 2016, at home. Born in Milwaukee, she was a physical education teacher in Wisconsin and Sacramento, a preschool teacher at Hookena Elementary School and member of St. Jude’s Episcopal Church. She loved Hawaiian culture and danced hula with Na Kupuna O Pohue, studied Hawaiian language and took ukulele lessons. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Feb. 14) at St. Jude’s Episcopal Church, 92-8606 Paradise Circle in Ocean View. Private burial at a later time. Survived by cousins, Joanne Hafner, Thomas (Pam Grant) Andrews, R. Paul Chavez and Patty (Steve) Brink, all of Wisconsin; caregiver, Erlinda (Aby) Laasaga of Kailua-Kona.
